Always a bit slow on mondays but they have an awesome video dj. Slic ric!! Cold drinks and hot bartenders.

this place got pros and cons...pros great space.never crowded.great cover band they get on sats.nice restrooms... Drinks are overpriced and a lot of bartenders make things different..

Loved the environment of this bar! Staff extremely friendly. They made a drink for me that wasn't on the menu. Live band was amazing playing late 90s and early 2000's tunes while we were there. I am excited to go again!

Light on a Friday at 9pm, but not complaining. AC is on too.... live music, $5 beers....pool tables. Music started at 930ish and they were rocking lots of good tunes. By 11 it filled in a bit but wasn't crowded at all...a few empty tables still and room at the bar.Might be the best river walk bar I've been in...

Excellent basement bar. Beautiful bar maidens. Drinks were reasonably priced. DJ mark wasn't bad. Only gives each song a minute or two before mixing into the next. Good music for the most part, with only occasional oddities. Live band was really good. Saturday night looked mostly like college students and young adults.

It's a basic place to get a drink. You can do so with less hassle, less cost, and with more atmosphere. Given the foot traffic downtown, just because a place has people in it doesn't mean it's good or great.

Nice location, right next to McDonald’s. Lol, music was good, and it’s very spacious. Multiple spots to order drinks, and big dance floor.

Visited this pub while in town visiting a friend. Everyone in our group loved what they ordered. I had the pizza and it was absolutely delicious. The crust was on the thinner side and delicious. When I'm back in town I will definitely suggest returning to Rocks!

Yea would have rated them better but headed to the river walk for better bars. Apparently a the basement bar under McDonald's doesn't allow someone in under armor(pointing out not normal) sweat pants in but bars on the river ask no questions. When did McDonald's become upscale???

I played darts on a nice digital board. My friends danced to the live DJ's music. Great night.

This place is cool. Staff was friendly, drinks were well priced and the location and interior are cool.

This pub is small but decently priced. Getting there before 9pm almost guarantees you a place to sit.

Very disappointed in this place. Went to celebrate my birthday and after having to pay a cover fee, we stood at the bar like idiots. Tried several times to flag the bartenders, but they seemed more interested in being flirtatious with the customers. I work in the food and service industry, so I don't like flagging my hand in their face, so after several attempts of obviously trying to get their attention, I decided to leave. After telling the bouncer that it was a waste of time and waste of money, nothing was done. So I spent $10 to get in for nothing. It would have been nice to at least get refunded what I paid to get in. But I didn't even get to get that back. I definitely ended up having a really good time at Coyote Ugly and two other bars, but I will never step foot in this place again.

SCAM BAR! I went by myself and was charge a coverage fee of $5 dollars just to get in the bar.i had order 9 bud light beers and I was charged $270 dollars.I asked to speak to one of the mangers and the bartender who was a blonde told me I was drunk. she told me to leave because I asked her why was my bill $270 dollars.she refused to let me speak to a manager the bouncers kicked me out and then I got charged $70 dollars the next two days. Nothing was resolved they took my money and I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!

The night life here was great. Live music, pool tables, reasonably priced drinks. The location (under a McDonalds) adds to the uniqueness of this establishment.

I love this bar!! For the past two years the 90s bar crawl, this has been my group's end all. The drinks are always good. Music is always on point along with the large size dance hall feel. I know where we are going next year!!

Only 2 pool tables, kinda small and not a lot going on considering there's a cover charge.

5 stars is all there is when you go to on the rocks the experience is boss sauce!! OTR is the absolute best bar down town San Antonio. On a majority of the nights I have been there it has been next level. The pub is perfectly located DT and has one of the longest bar spaces on the river walk. This bar is easily a top 2 place to visit and enjoy when are out DT. I advise you check out this place because it has amazing friendly staff, up to date music and classics playing all night long. Don’t sleep on this place it’s epically legendary and a must visit if you hit down town!!

Pax South 2020 mixer hangout spot! Definitely a great location to accommodate everyone unwinding after the convention each night. Great staff.

Not bad on Wednesday night. Karaoke night so it's fun to sing and drink. Not overly packed on this night. Good night to chill. Have pool as well.

Interesting place but getting bourbon in a plastic cup seems off for a place called on the rocks.

Always a great DJ. Cheap drinks too. And always a lively crowd to have things going when you get there. Pool tables and darts.

It was a good atmosphere at first, then my buddy and I stepped outside for a smoke. When I walked back inside one of the bouncers said I had too much to drink. I had exactly 1 drink at this bar? And by the way, I'm writing this one hour after this happened. The bouncers weren't aggressive (because they knew they were in the wrong ) so I will give them that but I made the right choice and just left. If you decide to try this place out then don't be surprised if you're randomly targeted and told to leave. Also, from the other comments below, I can see this isn't the first time this has happened. Just be aware...

Very chill place to play some pool, catch sports on TV, and enjoy friends. Beer is cold & reasonably priced, with 24 varieties on tap. Bartenders were very friendly.

Amazing little underground venue with a banging music system that with shake your body with bass. They also host some of the best underground bass shows in Wisconsin with prime choice acts and beautiful art deco

The bar has a chill environment with a trendy crowd. The layout is nice and has plenty of space even during packed events like mardi gras. And the DJ spins good music. With that said, you can tell the hiring focus for the bartenders is not primarily concerned with their abilities above their shoulders but the physical characteristics below. Accordingly, expect poor service at the bar and Riverwalk extortion style prices. Additionally, troubling is that the male nonsecurity staff openly gamble on the pool tables and solicit such when you are merely looking into the potential for a friendly game. Nevertheless, the security staff was on point and took care of that plus small spills that regularly occur at bars. Overall, I do recommend this bar if you happen to be the in Riverwalk area. Enjoy

There was a convention in town so the place was packed. Even so the bartenders did an excellent job serving everyone. I had a blast and would recommend it to anyone.

Happy hours drinks was awesome. Great services. Staff were friendly. cocktail was good. Perfect lighting. Live performance was good. Reasonable prices.
